One of the three was the Navesink River Road culvert at Poricy Pond. This is the same culvert that Monmouth County had to close for rebuilding in 2010 after rushing storm flows undermined the roadway.
Its current condition wasn’t immediately known, but Middletown police have closed the bridge as impassable. In addition, there’s a fallen tree leaning on wires at that site.

The second bridge is one on Hubbard Avenue, adjacent to the Shadow Lake dam. The dam held in the storm, but water topped the lake’s eastern end, causing a partial road collapse.
Finally, Swimming River Road in the Lincroft section was out of commission after water from the adjacent Swimming River Reservoir spillway swamped the roadway.
Authorities could not be reached to discuss any of the closings Sunday evening.
