One of the churniest of Red Bank’s downtown storefronts in recent years is getting yet another repositioning.
Sixty-five Broad Street is about to reopen as Trading Post 65, specializing in Southwestern-themed furnishings, redbankgreen has learned.
Over the last few years, the space has been home to a furniture store, a guitar store and a rug store, all related to Due Process Stables in Colts Neck.
Following the departure of Maison Blanche, a short-lived, high-end antique furnishings shop, Due Process opened a high-end antique furnishings shop itself under the name Nevada Exchange Trading Post Outlet. The store was just a couple of miles away from another Nevada Exchange store on Broad Street in Shrewsbury.
In 2009, Due Process, owned by AriZona Iced Tea co-founder John Ferrolito, moved out the furniture and switched to guitars – specifically, hollow-body archtops under the the D’Angelico brand.
A year later, the guitars were gone. In their place came oriental rugs.
The rugs got pulled a few weeks back. Now, the company, known best for its exclusive golf course in Colts Neck, is giving it another try.
“The rug outlet was good, but this is now on the forefront,” rug store manager Aaron Ward told redbankgreen.
