Why does the Monmouth County Affiliated Republican Club website contain a link to one for Red Bank Democrat Ed Zipprich?
“Someone has hacked our site,” club official Wayne Pomanowski tells redbankgreen via email. “They did a redirect to old Ed.”
Zipprich, a member of the Red Bank borough council, is running for state Assembly in the 11th district, hoping to unseat either GOP incumbent, Mary Pat Angelini or Caroline Casagrande, who are on the state’s first-ever all-female ticket, headed by state Senator Jen Beck of Red Bank.
Pomanowski made no allegations about who might have hacked the site. He said the link would be fixed when the site’s webmaster returned from a vacation. The club’s members are town-based Republican organizations and their members.
Zipprich could not be reached for immediate comment.
