Animal control officer Henry Perez holds the brown bat he caught in the Red Bank home of redbankgreen owners John Ward and Trish Russoniello Monday morning. The bat went off to a lab for rabies testing, and – following Centers for Disease Control guidelines on people exposed to bats in enclosed places while sleeping – Ward and Russoniello went for rabies vaccinations.
