RFH ROWING RAFFLE SCORES A COUPE

Press release from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School

image001-2-7159275Rumson-Fair Haven (RFH) Rowing has launched a raffle in support of the new High School program — with the grand prize a 2014 Mercedes Benz CLA four-door coupe, “nicely equipped” with Mercedes’ Multi-Media package.

The RFH Rowing Parent Booster Club is organizing the raffle, and limiting the number of tickets sold to 1,000. Each ticket is valued at $100, and all proceeds will benefit the High School Rowing program.

The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a drawing on March 1 between 6 and 9 pm at Bingham Hall. located on Bingham Road in Rumson.  The winner does not need to be present at the drawing in order to claim the prize.

The winning ticket will cover the cost of the car, sales tax, and motor vehicle fees. The color of the car can be chosen by the winner from among those available through Ray Catena Mercedes for the CLA coupe.

“All the winner will need to do is decide on a color and pick up the car,” said Parent Booster Club President Mark Wallhauser. “And everyone who purchases a ticket is supporting a wonderful new program at RFH.”

The Grand Prize coupe has been on display and will continue to be shown at various sporting events held at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. During the first few weekends in February, it can be viewed at the RFH Rowing Site next to Victory Park in Rumson. It will also be on display at Nauvoo Grill Club on Fair Haven Road in Fair Haven on February 1.

RFH Rowing received Board of Education approval in November 2013 and held its official kick-off meeting in December. It is open to all RFH students and consists of boys’ and girls’ Junior Varsity and Varsity Teams. Over 75 students have already signed up for the program, which will begin competing during the Spring 2014 season.

A Gala Dinner Dance for RFH Rowing is also in the works and is set for February 1 from 6:30 – 11 p.m. at Nauvoo Grill Club. The charge for this fund-raising event is $65 per person and $100 per couple.

For more information on the raffle, or to purchase a ticket, contact [email protected] or visit the RFH High School Rowing Parent Booster Club page on Facebook. For additional details about the Gala Dinner Dance, or to make reservations, contact Lauren Vernon at (646)491-1273.
