Students from all around the greater Red Bank green — not just the borough, but Fair Haven, Little Silver, Middletown, Rumson, and Shrewsbury — were named to the fall 2013 semester Dean’s List for their respective schools.
At The College of New Jersey in Ewing, some 34 local students made the list by meeting the requirements of 12 or more credits for the semester, and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. They include Red Bank seniors Matthew Erickson (major in Management), Cecilia Muscarella (Early Childhood), Kayla Riddleberger (English) and Justin Wagner (Computer Science); juniors Jessica Gonzalez (Education) and Alexander Spence (Civil Engineering); as well as sophomores Madeline Liskiewicz (Psychology) and Anna Mitarotondo (Open Option — Arts and Communication).
Also named to the list were Fair Haven junior Eileen Goepfert (major in Spanish) and two residents of Little Silver: sophomore Sarah Perry (Psychology) and freshman Elise Schoening (Open Option — Humanities and Social Sciences).
Middletown students named by TCNJ include seniors Casie Fitzgerald (major in Secondary Education), Kelly-Ann Gesuelli (Chemistry/ACS — Research), Danielle Hungerbuhler (Spanish), Katarina McKee (Mathematics Second) and Elizabeth O’Brien (Early Childhood — iSTEM); juniors Cally Connelly (Criminology) and Jessica Glynn (Political Science); sophomores James Tomasullo, Colleen Dean (both Finance), Dylan Kret (Communication Studies), Lauren Hymanson (Open Option — Science), Cole Playter (Psychology), Justin Sorrenti (Civil Engineering) and Jenna Vitale (Interactive Multimedia); in addition to freshmen Sarah Conger (Special Education), Kristen Hassenkamp (Psychology) and William Recanatini (Accountancy).
TCNJ also recognized Shrewsbury seniors Emily Cotenoff (Psychology), Alexa Tortoriello (Early Childhood) and Sally Milnes (Communication Studies); juniors Rebecca Havens (Special Education) and Olivia Porada (Music Performance), as well as sophomore Theresa Soya (Communication Studies).

The College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY named Middletown students Kathleen Cruz, Michelle Jin, and Cait O’Neill to the Dean’s List for the fall semester, in addition to Michael Habib of Fair Haven and Ilana Beller of Little Silver.
Merrimack College in North Andover, MA named Middletown students Catherine Hill and William McCormack, as well as Andrei Rjedkin (Little Silver) and Catherine DeWyngaert (Fair Haven), all with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
At the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Andrew Terranova of Red Bank made Dean’s List, as did Michael Alonzo of Rumson, and two students from Middletown, Monica Dougherty and Eric Youncofski.
In Newport, RI, Salve Regina University announced that Middletown’s Jacqueline Bennett, a sophomore majoring in Business Administration, met the requirement of a minimum 3.6 grade point average.
Three other Middletown residents — Amanda LaSala, Danielle Marino, and Louis Poggioli — made the list at Quinnipiac University with a GPA of no less than 3.5. The Hamden, CT campus also named Samantha Guastella, Alyson Niven and Joseph Ugalde (all Red Bank, in addition to Cori Kutzin (Little Silver) and Brooke Wheaton (Rumson).
Elsewhere in Connecticut, the University of Hartford announced Dean’s List honors for Anisa Abella (Red Bank), Carly Cole (Middletown), Allison Fingado (Shrewsbury) and Erin Gaynor (Red Bank). The University of New Haven named Danika Kenney of Red Bank to the list, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Another student from Red Bank, Michael Pugliese, made the fall 2013 list at the University at Albany in upstate New York.
And at the University of Vermont in Burlington, honors went out to Skylar Haugenes (Little Silver), Harley Mulheren (Rumson), Aubrey Robinson (Shrewsbury) and Emily Socha (Rumson).
