Press release from Middletown Lions Club

On Saturday, June 14, the Middletown Township NJ Lions Club Charitable Foundation will host Run To Hear, a 5k run/walk which will support the club’s charitable hearing aid program.

The program provides free hearing aids to financially needy individuals in the local community who meet specific criteria. One of those who will benefit this year is a seven year old girl, Mary, whose family has reached out to our club for assistance. Mary has had a litany of medical problems. which range from a need for special glasses to hearing aids.

Any high school or college student who finishes will be automatically entered into the drawing for the Josephine A. Fernicola Scholarship, which will be presented by Anthony Fernicola of Point Pleasant, N.J.

The entrance fee is $20 for each participant. A tee shirt is included with the fee, and medals and trophies will be awarded in each male and female age group.
