BATTER UP, FOR FREE RB SUMMER CLINICS

From press materials by Red Bank Parks and Recreation

summer-baseball-flyer-170x220-3763253Red Bank boys and girls who are interested in sharpening their baseball and softball skills still have time to register for a program of free clinics, presented by the borough Parks and Recreation department.

Scheduled to begin this Saturday, August 2, the four-week program will continue weekends through August 31 at Count Basie Fields, and will include a combination of skills work and intra-squad scrimmages. All sessions are offered free of charge, and registration is as easy as signing up at the field, on the day of the clinics.

The clinics are being offered in four separate grade levels, with child’s grade level determined by his or her grade as of the upcoming school year starting in September.

Baseball clinics for grades 7 to 9 will be offered on Saturdays from 3 to 5 pm on Field 2. Baseball clinics for grades 5 and 6 will be offered Sundays from 3 to 5 pm on Field 1, and baseball clinics for grades 10 to 12 will be offered on Sundays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Field 2.

In addition, softball clinics for grades 6 to 8 will be offered Saturdays from 3 to 5 pm on Field 1.

For more information, please contact Red Bank Parks and Recreation by calling (732)530-2782, or emailing [email protected].
