A redbankgreen reader spied this unusual piebald white-tailed deer in Rumson earlier this week, declining to be more specific about its location. A genetic mutation that occurs in less than one percent of the deer population causes the pinto-pony look, though it sometimes produces an even rarer all-white albino deer, according to the New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife.
