Hey, summer fruititarians: can you identify the location of this week’s Where Have I Seen This? Take a guess! Please send your answer to [email protected].
Last week’s photo was of a storybook-style illustration showing a Colonial-era man painting a flagpole – the hard way, though he was clearly enjoying himself.
Stephanie Rebozo and Jackie Patterson wrote in, each identifying the image as a portion of a Red Bank mural. Stephanie thought it was from the mural at Riverside Gardens Park, and Jackie guessed the one alongside the pocket park at Shrewsbury Avenue and Doctors James Parker Boulevard.
The correct answer, though, is Sea Bright, on the wall of a Hurricane Sandy-damaged Ocean Avenue building that used to house Linda Walton’s Riverfront Café, the post office and other businesses. It faces Peninsula Avenue, where yet another mural was in the works last week.
Thanks for writing in, ladies!
