ON THE GREEN: CANCELLATIONS AND SUCH II

rb-cold-020215-500x375-4235668Sidewalks and roads were getting slippery as temperatures fell across the Greater Red Bank Green early Monday afternoon, soon after snow and rain turned them slushy. According to the National Weather Service, intermittent snowfalls in the afternoon won’t amount to much accumulation, but travel conditions may be hazardous. (Photo by John T. Ward. We’ll update this list of weather-related cancellations from the top as we get them:

• Brookdale Community College, all locations: All classes and activities that begin before 10:30 a.m. are canceled. Employees are to report to work at 10 a.m.

• Shrewsbury school:10:30 a.m. opening. Preschool cancelled.

• Rumson schools: 90-minute delayed opening. Preschool will report to school at 10:10 a.m. and conclude at noon. Grades K-8 report at 10:10 and conclude at 3:05 p.m.

• Little Silver: Point Road will open at 10:00 AM and Markham Place will open at 10:05 AM. AM Preschool will be in session from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and PM Preschool will be in session from 12:55 PM-2:55 PM.

• Red Bank Catholic running on a weather-delayed schedule.

• Rumson: R-FH will have a 90-minuted delayed opening Tuesday.

• Red Bank Charter School will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday. School will start at 10am.

• Fair Haven: Knollwood and Sickles Schools will have a two-and-a-ahalf-hour delayed opening.

• Community YMCA, Red Bank, will have a delayed opening of 8 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 3, with all programs and classes running as scheduled.

• Red Bank Regional will have a two hour delayed opening on Tuesday, February 3rd. Students should report to bus stops two hours later than normal pickup time.

• Red Bank Regional Athletics and Afterschool activities have been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.

• Brookdale Community College: Due to weather conditions all locations will close at 2:30 p.m. today.
