You’ve likely seen her out in front of her former band Aardvark Smile, appearing at local music festivals like the Red Bank Riverfest — and since going her own way she’s shared some prominent regional stages with the likes of Southside Johnny, John Cafferty and Val Emmich, and sang the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden. This Friday, February 20, it’s all about the singer and songwriter known as Taylor Tote, as she takes it to Two River Theater for a Taylor-made showcase performance.
It’s a record release party for the Asbury Music Award nominee and aspiring superstar who’s poised to swift-boat that “other” Taylor off her Billboard perch — a full-band set that also boasts a first public peek at her music video “Superman” (a teaser for which can be viewed here). There’s a free gift for all ticket purchasers, too — no, not a Tote bag, but a complimentary copy of the EP.
Joining Taylor on the Two River mainstage for the 8 pm show will be bandmates Tom Briant, Anthony Flora, Nick Piescor and Julian Michalski. Danny Coleman, host of Rock on Radio, serves as emcee, and opening for the Taylor Tote Band will be the ShoreMericana group The Glimmer Grass Band, featuring guest instrumentalists Steve Jankowski and Michael Ghegan. Take it here for tickets ($25, with a limited number of student tix available for $15).
