Brookdale Community College hosts the semi-annual New 2 You Kids Consignment Sale, running for five days starting Tuesday.
Its spacious floor and wraparound walkways have served as the setting for numerous indoor sporting events, major concerts and appearances by the likes of Maya Angelou. Starting Tuesday, the Robert J. Collins Arena on the Lincroft campus of Brookdale Community College becomes a bargain basement.
Continuing for five days through March 19, the twice-yearly New 2 You Kids Consignment Sale sets up shop, creating a strolling/rolling bazaar of clothing and accessory items for children and teens, housewares and more.
Following a private sale Monday for event volunteers, consignors and new moms from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m., the spring 2016 edition of the consignment extravaganza opens its doors Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
Dozens of consignors are lined up for the big event, promising to restock merchandise throughout, with the floor open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The sale continues on Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturday’s finale will see most remaining items discounted 50 percent between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
