Red Bank’s Townwide Yard Sale, a calendar fixture for the past nine years, is taking 2017 off and will become an every-other-year event, redbankgreen has learned.
Beth Hanratty of the Friends of the Red Bank Public Library said the change to a biennial event was prompted by declining shopper attendance, largely as a result of townwide yard sales held the same day in neighboring Fair Haven. So while the number of sellers has continued to grow, “based on feedback from participants, the Friends have decided to schedule the event every other year,” Hanratty said.
The next is to be held in the Fall of 2018, she said. (Photo by Susan Ericson. Click to enlarge)
