Here’s the answer for last week’s “Where.”

Mexico Street where have I seen this Leigton avenue Drs. James Parker Blvd

Last week’s “Where” was a shot of a very real looking street sign reading “Mexico Street” which is just a driveway into a home at the corner of Leighton Avenue and Drs. James Parker Blvd. The sign has been there for years.

And while we really like to explain a bit of the story behind these photos, this one will have to remain a mystery for now. Three separate visits to the home last week saw no one responding to our knocks on the door. On the fourth visit, a man came to the door. He explained he had no idea who put the sign there, why it’s there, how long it’s been there or if anyone else who lived in the house could answer any of the aforementioned questions. Let’s call it the Mystery on Mexico Street.

Incorrect guesses included the corner of Shrewsbury and Monmouth Street,

Madelyn Sanchez guessed correctly and added a statement prompted by this unusual sign with which we whole heartedly agree:

“It’s been a while since I’ve been in Red Bank. I miss its charming and eccentric vibe, and there’s really no other place that comes close to it,” she wrote. Sending love to Red Bank from Baltimore! Keep the updates coming.”

We certainly will, Madelyn, even if they’re a day or two late like we were with this week’s “Where.” Sorry, folks.
