We don’t seem to get a lot of snow any more. The Navesink River hasn’t frozen over in years, so we can only dream of the ice boat photos we might take if that were to ever happen again. Oh well, we here at redbankgreen have to work with what we have, which in this case was about a half inch of snow that fell Monday afternoon making everything a bit more lovely, at least for a little while. Here’s a small flurry of photos from around town taken while it lasted.
Who says chivalry is dead? This young gentleman in the tan pants and Vans kindly shielded the woman he was walking with from the blowing snow kicked up by guy determined to turn this flurry into a blizzard with his leaf blower on Broad Street.
A little Christmas on Little Christmas: A Christmas tree looks read for another go ’round with the statues of the Red Bank Catholic High School courtyard in the background.
Just enough snow for a sleigh ride? Not really, but certainly enough for a few social media grumbles about road conditions.
White caps on the river, just a different kind of white caps.
The line of cars with parents waiting to pick up their children at St. James school almost makes one feel bad for the kids who don’t get to walk home in the snow.
