NOTE: THIS POST IS BEING UPDATED AT 11 AM SUNDAY TO REFLECT FORECAST ADJUSTED FOR HIGHER SNOW TOTALS AND A MANDATORY ON STREET PARKING BAN

With the National Weather Service calling for the possibility of several inches of snow Sunday into Sunday night, Borough officials are encouraging requiring residents to move their cars off the street and monitor an uncertain forecast. that could require mandatory on street parking bans.
The National Weather Service’s 6 am Sunday update called for higher possible snow accumulations along the shore than earlier forecasts and a winter weather advisory that now includes Monmouth county.
An initial alert sent out by the borough Friday “encouraged” residents to get their cars off the streets to give room for plows to pass and clear the street to the curb. A second alert sent Saturday afternoon said amid changing accumulation forecasts, residents may be required to move them if snow removal operations are required. Updated forecasts now put the Red Bank area more on the snowy side of the situation.
