An environmental cleanup continued Friday at the former Bridge Avenue Gas Station at 187 Riverside Avenue in Red Bank, where restaurant owner Victor Rallo is planning an adaptive reuse of the old building.
Rallo told redbankgreen last week the removal of the contaminated soil should be completed by early this week, paving the way for his plans to convert the property into a “new gateway to Red Bank.” (See redbankgreen’s previous coverage below.)
Rallo, who owns Birravino restaurant next door, also outfitted the old gas station with some Christmas wreaths, a sly and festive touch that caught our eye and prompted us to switch our camera to black-and-white mode to capture the vibe.
