The holiday festivities continue this weekend as seasonally appropriate frigid temperatures descend on the region. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening. Get out the long johns and get out there and enjoy it all.
FRIDAY
The Borough of Red Bank’s annual West Side tree lighting starts at 6 pm at Johnny Jazz Park, corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and Drs. James Parker Boulevard. There will be a special visit from Santa, performances by the Lake House Music Academy, Red Bank Primary School Choir and Red Bank Charter School Choir. The St. James Knights of Columbus will be distributing coats to families in need.
SATURDAY
The band The Wag performs at a special holiday show by the tree at Riverside Gardens Park Saturday.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
The free downtown Red Bank Holiday Trolley is back for the next two Saturdays and Sundays! Ride around downtown Red Bank while listening to holiday music and taking in the sights on December 6, 7, 13, and 14 between 12pm and 4pm. The trolley will stop on Bridge Avenue (between the Two River Theater and Triumph Brewing), Mechanic Street (between Dor L’ Dor and Char) and Broad Street ( in front of Yestercades)
