Here’s the answer to last week’s “Where.”
Last week’s photo was the corner of River Road and Buena Place, where someone has placed a caution sign to alert drivers to the presence of vulpes vulpes fulva, the North American red fox.
Stephen Murphy wrote in calling the sign a “public service announcement for Foxy Brown.”
“They’re having their kits this month, adult and adolescent foxes everywhere in the neighborhood,” he wrote. So heed the sign and go slow!
A few people, including regular ‘Where’ sleuths Jim Cummings and Sue Noone, nailed this one by narrowing it down to the few streets in Red Bank that have medians.
Thanks to those who wrote in. Peter Cavalier, Rebecca Josephson, The Colmorgen Kids, Stephen Murray, Jim Cummings, Dan Mancuso, Bill Thorne, Chuck Stern, Billy and Judy Fraser.
I hope I got everyone. Please email or text me immediately if we missed you at [email protected] or 848-331-8331. Your sharp eyes and hustle should be properly rewarded.
