Red Bank’s first-ever Graffiti Jam drew dozens of spray-can wielding artists and local kids to Riverside Gardens Park Saturday, creating a colorful and surprising juxtaposition: artists creating large works in a form honed in subways and urban domains in the town’s green bucolic park with Navesink River views.
Vendors, food trucks and musician performances rounded out the scene as works sprung up on plywood walls erected for the event, sponsored by the Borough of Red Bank, Culture NJ, Galerie Lucida, Kings of the Craft barber shop.
