Here’s the answer to last week’s “Where.”
Last week’s photo was of the very nautical-looking light post smack in the center of the Marine Park fishing pier. Some crabbers we’ve spoken to over the past year are among the crabbiest critics of the recent $4 million makeover of the park.
The remake moved the parking area from directly in front of the pier to the southwest corner of the park, farther from the pier. This means they have to lug their crab traps and bait a bit further than they used to.
Good news, Wheresters: no sad trombones this week. Everyone who sent in a guess this week nailed it. And how about this for extra credit: Boris Kofman used the angle of the shadow to surmise the photo was taken at about 3:15 pm. I went back and looked at the photo data and found it was taken at 3:30 pm. Amazing!
So it appears this lamp can also be used as a sundial.
