Eighty years after their graduation, the 1946 Red Bank High School boys basketball team will have two team members, Frank Booth and Ralph Mazzucca, inducted into the Red Bank Regional High School Athletics Hall of fame next month.
Red Bank Regional High School recently announced its inductees into the fifth class of the Red Bank High School/Red Bank Regional Athletic Hall of Fame.
It’s a list that spans the decades, from the Class of 1933’s William “Wasky” Sweel to 2014’s Jazz Van Loon, who’s still competing in triathlons.
Established in 2017, the Hall of Fame honors the remarkable athletes, coaches, and championship teams whose achievements, leadership, and dedication have helped shape the rich tradition of Buccaneer athletics.
“The Class of 2026 represents generations of athletic excellence and outstanding sportsmanship,” reads an article in the most recent edition of the schools’ sports update sent to local media.
“Each inductee has made a lasting impact on Red Bank High School/Red Bank Regional through exceptional accomplishments both on and off the field, inspiring future generations of Buccaneers.
The media release continues:
“The Red Bank Regional community is invited to celebrate these outstanding individuals and teams at the Hall of Fame Induction Reception on Thursday, October 22, at 6:00 p.m. in the Red Bank Regional Cafeteria. Tickets are $70 per person, and light refreshments will be served.

The celebration continues on Friday, October 23, when the Class of 2026 will be recognized during halftime of RBR’s home football game. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
