Chilly temperatures and wind chills that felt more like Valentine’s Day made local watering holes extra crowded on St. Patrick’s Day Tuesday.

Fewer customers hung out on the patio at Red Rock and the outdoor bar at The Dublin House than in recent years, choosing to pack in five and six deep at the inside bars to avoid the chllly temps.

It made things a little tricky for a redbankgreen roving photographer to do much roving. Still, a-roving we went. Here’s some of our choice frames.

The crowd was six deep at the bar at the Dub.

The guitarist in the band The Cliffs knew that on St. Patrick’s Day you wear the green sneakers and hit that green pedal.

Passing cars had no mercy for this lost hat on Monmouth Street.

Revellers at the Dublin House found an uncrowded corner amid the 5 pm St. Patrick’s Day rush.
