UPDATE: A trip through the affected area at 10 am shows power appears to have been restored.
An early morning thunderstorm knocked out power to several hundred customers in Red Bank Friday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light’s outage map.
As of 9:10 am, the web site said crews had been dispatched and were working to restore service. The site listed the cause of the outage as inclement weather.
Man-about-town Anhony Setaro provided this photo and said the outage left under caffeinated people wandering downtown looking for coffee.
