CRIME LOG FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 2

The following information about crime activity for the week of January 2 through 9 was supplied by the Red Bank Police Department and appears here unedited.

Burglary occurring on 1-2-09 at Broad St.—Jewelry Store. Alarm was activated by unknown person(s) Upon arrival of the owner and the police it was observed that a large whole on the north side of building was broken through by unknown person(s) No entry was gained into the business. . Theft occurring between 1-29-08 and 1-2-09 at parking space on West Front St. Parking authority reported that two parking meters were stolen along with the posts by unknown person(s). Ptl. Robert Campanella.

Criminal Mischief occurring at Waverly Place residence on 1-3-09. Victim reported that unknown person(s) broke windowpane in door. Ptl. George Travostino.

Theft occurring on 1-1-09 at Monmouth St.—Train Station. Victim reported that a bag of clothing and jewelry which was placed on ground next to phone booth was stolen by unknown person(s). Ptl. Jorge Torres.

Theft occurring on 1-5-09 at Chestnut St. office. Employee reported that unknown person(s) stole prescription drugs from gym bag which was in an office. Ptl. Michael Campanella.

Burglary occurring on 1-6-09 at Waverly Place, vacant residence. Owner of property reported that unknown person(s) broke a window and gained entry into residence. Nothing reported stolen. Ptl. James DePonte.

Burglary occurring at Broad St. between 1-7-09 and 1-8-09. Owner of business reported that unknown person gained entrance to business by prying open the front door. Once inside perpetrator(s) smashed several glass display cases and took approximately 30 pairs of designer eyeglass frames. Ptl. Thomas Doremus.

ARRESTS 7 Contempt of Court

OTHER ARRESTS:

Stephen Riley, age 18 male of Leonardo was arrested in the area of W. Front St. on 1-9-09 for Disorderly Conduct by Ptl. Nicholas Maletto.

Robert Lowe, age 53 male from Red Bank was arrested on 1-8-09 in the area of Bridge Ave. for DWI by Ptl. James DePonte.

Delfino Reyes-Rodriguez, age 28 male from Red Bank was arrested on 1-8-09 in the area of W. Bergen Place for Poss. of CDS Cocaine and Defiant Trespassing. by Ptl. John Camarca.

David L. Jackson, age 43 of Jersey City was arrested on 1-5-09 in the area of Broad St. for Theft by Ptl. Ashon Lovick.

Jose B. Hernandez, age 21 male of Red Bank was arrested on 1-5-09 in thea rea of Broad St. for Shoplifting by Ptl. Matthew Ehrenreich.

Martin Romero-Leon, age 22 male from Red Bank was arrested on 1-2-09 in the area of Bank St. for DWI by Ptl. Ashon Lovick.

Separately, the department reported that it arrested 18 motorists on DWI offenses as part of the Over the
Limit Under Arrest Yearend Crackdown, which targeted drunk drivers.

The effort was funded through a grant provided by the
New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
