In the grillwork of the now-vacant Meridian nursing home on West Front Street in Red Bank, a family of house sparrows has taken up summer residence. Last week, the little ones had mom flying off again and again to return with food to drop into their gapings maws.
Like their human predecessors at the site, the birds eventually will have to move. The building is slated to be bulldozed and replaced by 27 condos. (Click pix to enlarge)
