Friday, June 21:

MIDDLETOWN: Meditate and relax at the Middletown Public Library Falun Dafa cultivation class.  Designed to improve mental and physical wellness, Falun Dafa is a traditional Chinese self-cultivation practice that uses a series of exercises, meditation and development of the heart and mind (Xinxing). The class runs from 2 to 4 p.m. 55 New Monmouth Road.

RED BANK: “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan takes the stage of the Count Basie Theatre for another side-splitting stand-up routine. Tickets are $29, $39, $49 and $99. The comedy starts at 8 p.m. 99 Monmouth Street.

RED BANK: The Jukebox Criminals steal the show at the Downtown, starting at 10 p.m. 10 West Front Street.

RED BANK: Visit the Walt Street Pub to catch the diverse and unique sounds of the Matt Noffsinger Band, voted “Best Cover Band” by Night & Day magazine readers. The show begins at 8 p.m. 180 Monmouth Street.

RED BANK: Michael Cumpsty stars as Garry Essendine, a well-groomed, sophisticated and neurotic leading man in Noel Coward’s Present Laughter. The comedy, whose run has been extended a week, through June 30, holds the stage at Two River Theatre. Tickets are $20 to $42. The show begins at 8 p.m. 21 Bridge Avenue.

Saturday, June 22:

LINCROFT: Take in the great outdoors at the Monmouth Museum’s Great Outdoor Family Festival.  Come to the Lincroft campus of Brookdale Community College and take a ‘staycation’ to support the Jersey Shore.  The festival features nature crafts, camping demos, miniature golf, bumper cars, live music, storytelling and guided tours through the museum’s “America Hits the Road:  A Cultural History of the Road Trip” exhibition, which displays photographs, memorabilia, installations and interactive displays. The festival runs form 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

RED BANK: Tighten your grip on the Downtown: Hold on Tight is coming to town. With male and female singers, Hold on Tight is a diverse cover band that covers genres from rock, country and 80s to the more. The show starts at 10 p.m. 10 West Front Street.

RED BANK: Elizabeth McDermott teaches the craft of collage at the Red Bank Public Library. The session runs from 2 to 4 p.m. 84 West Front Street.

LINCROFT: The multitalented Terence Blanchard stops by Christian Brothers Academy to help support the Performing Arts program. The trumpeter, composer, bandleader and five-time Grammy-winning artist will be joined by the Terence Blanchard Group and special guests Ravi Coltrane, Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, Robert Hurst III and Fabian Almazan for a set from his new release “Magnetic.” An evening with Terence Blanchard begins at 7:30 p.m. tickets are $50 and $75 dollars. 850 Newman Springs Road.

RED BANK: The ’60s find way into today when the Fab Faux play the Count Basie Theatre. Have a groovy time as The Beatles tribute cover band performs their annual concert with special guests The Hogshead Horns and The Crème Tangerine Strings for a special performance of The White Album. Tickets are $49, $ 69, $99, $115, $500. The show begins at 8 p.m. 99 Monmouth Street.

Sunday, June 23:

RED BANK: Swim away your Sunday with the Navesink Maritime Heritage Association. Come to the Swimming River and barbeque and canoe for free at Chris’ River Plaza Marina. Canoes, life vests and paddles will be provided. Canoeing lasts 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the BBQ runs 1 to 3 p.m. Fifteen dollars for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under.  Contact Michael Humphreys to RSVP the number of people in your party. 483 West Front Street.

RED BANK: Bruce Gallipani and the RockIt Staff members present the youthful prodigies that have been practicing as a band for the past few weeks. Come to the debut concert at the Count Basie, which features hits from cult classic films like Pulp Fiction and The Blues Brothers, to see how the skills of the mini musicians have improved. The concert begins at 3 p.m. tickets are $15. 99 Monmouth Street.

RED BANK: Row through Red Bank at the Navesink River Rowing Open House. The day is filled with mini rowing lessons (both on land and in water), site tours, demonstrations and more. Learn-To-Row Day begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. Maple Avenue.

RED BANK: The Farmers Market lays out its super fresh goods at The Galleria Red Bank. Located in the parking lot, the market features locally grown produce as well as special crafts and eateries. The Farmers Market is a weekly event that runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until mid-November. Corner of Bridge Avenue and  WestFront Street.
