While other residents of the Greater Red Bank Green were in panic mode in the bread aisles of supermarkets, some were preparing for the looming blizzard by stocking up on their favorite beverages. NJ.com’s Brian Donohue caught up with some of them at Spirits Unlimited in Middletown, home of the famous “evil clown” sign.

A conflict over a 12-year-old resident’s request to keep six pet ducks in her Fair Haven back yard has attracted the probing lens of Ledger Live.

In a video posted Sunday, Star-Ledger video reporter Brian Donohue ducks his camera under branches and stands stock-still in a driveway in an attempt to verify complaints by South Woodland Drive neighbors that Nicole Stover’s ducks are too loud and their pen unsightly.

ANOTHER STORM HEADED THIS WAY?

Ledger Live reporter Brian Donohue shot this pre-storm vodcast about weather-induced panic shopping last Friday at Red Bank and Middletown supermarkets. Will we see a repeat run on bread and milk this week?

Just days after Saturday’s blizzard, the Red Bank area could be facing another wintry mess beginning Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service is warning of an “explosively developing” northeaster (or as they call it, a ‘nor-easter,’ as though we all lived in a Pepperidge Farm commercial) that could bring “heavy snow” to the area through Wednesday.

Locally, it sounds as though we could be in for less pretty white fluffy stuff and more yucky mess.
