LittleBucs1Spaces are still open for the Little Bucs Preschool Program at Red Bank Regional, offered from October to June as a community service for residents of Little Silver, Red Bank, Shrewsbury and neighboring towns.

The director of the Little Bucs Preschool at Red Bank Regional High School has announced that openings are still available for local children to take part in the free-tuition community service program for the 2015–2016 school year. The preschool accepts three (or very nearly three) and four-year olds from the RBR sending towns of Little Silver, Red Bank, Shrewsbury and neighboring municipalities. The program operates four mornings a week, Tuesday through Friday from 8:45 to 10:23 am. The first day of school is Tuesday, October 6, 2015, and the program will run through early June.

The Little Bucs Preschool program is an integral part of the RBR Early Childhood course of study, which is one of many concentrations of study open to high school students. Little Bucs operates in a fully-equipped Child Development classroom at RBR. The program features a child to high school “teacher” ratio of one-to-one. It offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children, promoting socialization and large and small motor skill development. Activities include arts and crafts, music, story-time, free play, gym, show-and tell, snack, and circle time.

Attention preschoolers: one of the area’s leading high schools wants you! There are still openings available for the Little Bucs Preschool program at Red Bank Regional High School for the 2014-2015 school year. The preschool program, which operates four mornings a week (Tuesday through Friday from 9:01 to 10:23 am) accepts three (and very nearly three) and four-year olds from the RBR sending towns of Little Silver, Red Bank, Shrewsbury and neighboring towns.

The RBR Little Bucs Pre-school program has operated for many years as part of the Early Childhood curriculum at RBR. All students taking the class have completed a prerequisite course, “Child and Personal Development”, studying children from prenatal development through adolescence. Many of the students will be heading to careers in education and other areas involving early childhood. Little Bucs features a child to high school “teacher” ratio of one-to-one and offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children, promoting socialization and large and small motor skill development. A few openings are still available for the Red Bank Regional (RBR) Little Bucs Preschool Program, which operates in the preschool lab in the high school building at 101 Ridge Road in Little Silver.  The pre-school program takes place three mornings a week from Wednesday through Friday.  Opening day is October 9 and the program ends in early June.  The program accepts three and four-year olds from the RBR sending school towns of Little Silver, Red Bank, Shrewsbury and neighboring towns. It is run primarily as a community service and includes a small fee of $100 for the school year, which is charged to defray costs associated with special projects or semi-annual field trips to such destinations as Huber Woods and Holmdel Park.
