The good news, we suppose, is that you don’t have to get on a toll road to get there.
Assemblywoman and state Senate candidate Jennifer Beck of Red Bank will co-host a town hall meeting tonight in Freehold Township to discuss the fate of New Jersey’s toll roads.
Or, as a press release from Beck’s office calls it, “Governor CorzineÂ’s proposal to sell the State’s toll roads.”
Corzine has vowed to avoid a sale to a private entity yet remained coy about how he intends to “monetize” the roadways — the Parkway, Turnpike and Atlantic City Expressway.
Co-hosting the event is Assemblyman Sean Kean, 11th-District Republican. He and Beck “will be joined by government officials, transportation representatives, and industry spokespeople, Beck’s office says.
Both Beck, a 12h-District Republican, and Kean are members of the assembly’s Transportation and Public Works Committee.
The event is scheduled to run from 7 to 9p at the Freehold Township Municipal Building, room 114, 1 Municipal Plaza, Freehold.
