Red Bank Police are seeking three men for questioning in connection with an argument that resulted in a Catherine Street resident getting punched in the face Monday night, the Asbury Park Press is reporting.
No gun was involved, police said, contrary to reports on the scene.
From the Press, which attributed the report to police Capt. Steve McCarthy:
The incident started when the resident asked a man in the rear yard with other tenants to leave because of prior complaints from neighbors about drinking and other behavior, McCarthy said. That man left and returned 90 minutes later [around 7:50p] with two men.
The resident answered the door, an argument started and the man punched the resident in the face after he asked him to leave, McCarthy said. The victim’s brother told police that he saw the man point his arm, which was covered by a shirt, as
if he had a gun.The trio left in a small, red, two-door car before police arrived. All three men were described as Hispanic, two in their 20s, with black, bushy hair in a ponytail. One wore a red shirt. The man involved in the fight wore a white T-shirt, brown pants and was older than the other two, McCarthy said.
