CHECK IT OUT: LIBRARY REOPENS NEXT WEEK

Months overdue but not over budget, the renovated Red Bank Public Library will reopen at 1p next Tuesday, Borough Administrator Stanley Sickels said last night.

He confirmed that, as reported yesterday, the new elevator passed a state inspection Friday, and he’d signed a temporary certificate of occupancy for the facility yesterday. Only minor details need to be cleared up for the final CO to be issued, Sickels said.

The library, like all borough facilities, will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Library Director Debie Griffin-Sadel had previously told redbankgreen that the library would probably open on a limited basis while staffers complete the move back to the library from a temporary facility two doors away.

A grand opening reception is also in the works, she said.
