WIND ADVISORY ISSUED
It’s going to get blustery out there today.
The National Weather Service says a storm system over the Carolinas will bring increased winds to our area today, with the strongest occurring this afternoon and early tonight.
SUSTAINED WINDS WILL INCREASE TO THE 15 TO 25 MPH RANGE
WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON & EVENING.THE
STRONGEST WINDS ARE PRIMARILY EXPECTED CLOSE TO THE RARITAN
BAYSHORE AREA, BUT WINDS GUSTY WINDS WILL OCCUR ELSEWHERE AS WELL.
A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF AT LEAST 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED.
WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT.ESPECIALLY FOR
HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION, ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING
OVER BRIDGES & OVERPASSES.
