Police from Middletown and Red Bank, aided by a helicopter and search dogs, were out in southern Middletown in search of burglary suspect this afternoon.

Homeowners and business operators were being advised to lock all windows and doors. As of mid-afternoon, some side streets in the vicinity of Cooper Boulevard were blocked by police cars, but traffic was flowing on Route 35.

The suspect is said to be wearing jeans, a yellow sweater and a baseball cap. Anyone with information should call the Middletown Police Department at 732.615,2100.
