RED BANK A-TWINKLE, AS SEEN FROM oRBit

Noworbiting_iconMrsclausMrs. Claus spreads some cheer, and gets the once-over, at last year’s lighting event. (Click to enlarge)

As it has for the past 15 years, Red Bank kicks off the holiday season in grand style Friday with a full slate of amusements that culminates with the illumination of the downtown and its Christmas/Holiday tree (your choice; please, no arguing) in the Dublin House courtyard, and another tree at the train station.

And it does so to the irresistible, feel-good bounce of Holiday Express, the teeming, go-anywhere-for-a-smile orchestra that keeps the crowd of thousands singing along until its collective breath forms a cloud over Broad Street.

But this being the season of tenor-accompanied shows and shopping, get ready to fill up your concert-going calendar —not to mention your bargain-hunting itinerary — for the season that all those twinkling lights are there for.

We’ve got the full slate of details on what to do and where to do it over on our entertainment site, Red Bank oRBit. Plug in, elves!
