THANKSGIVING IN STYLE AT LUNCH BREAK

Norma Todd’s Lunch Break, the 25-year-old Red Bank soup kitchen, was transformed into a fine-dining hall yesterday, providing free Thanksgiving meals on linen tablecloths to more than 200 area residents in two seatings.

Another 75 or so meals were delivered to the homes of needy residents by volunteers.

John Lombardo and his crew from Branches Catering in West Long Branch supplied all the food and cooking this year, and area businesses donated decorations and centerpieces.

“It’s amazing how you can pick up the phone to ask them to help and have them say, ‘What can I do?’ said Irma Hughes, practice administrator at the nearby Parker Family Health Center, who helped pull the event together.
