Evidence markers in the middle of Locust Avenue during this morning's investigation.
The Asbury Park Press, quoting a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor, says two men were murdered on Locust Avenue early this morning.

Two men are dead in an apparent double homicide on Locust Avenue reported
at about 1:35 a.m., said First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Peter Warshaw.Authorities are investigating the deaths of the two men who are not being
identified at this time.Police received "multiple 911 calls'' reporting gunfire on
Locust
Avenue about 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, Warshaw said.Locust Avenue intersects
with Shrewsbury Avenue near the Red Bank train station.
Police cordoned off a block of the street while surveyors recorded the locations of evidence and reference points.
The Red Bank Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office are conducting the investigation, Warshaw said.
Authorities are not releasing the names of the victims, pending notification of next of kin, Warshaw said.
It is too early in the investigation to say if the shooting is gang-related, Warshaw
