WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS?

Last week’s Where framed an odd mix of architectural surfaces.

Among the responses:

“rite aid”

“The old K HOV building on Hwy 35 shot from Nicholas?”

“I am totally guessing, but I think it might be the Viet Nam Vets Memorial at the Arts Center in Holmdel.”

“OK I’ve been mulling this over. While I think it’s the Hovnanian Building on Front Street in RB (although I can’t figure out from what perspective), on the other hand it could be the Monmouth County Library on Rt 35 N in Shrewsbury. Where is it?”

Well, once again, 12-year-old Matthew Halfacre was the guy to ask. He correctly identified it (as did the uncertain author of the last entry above) as the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library.

“I didn’t believe him, but drove by and sure enough, he nailed it,” writes his father, Mike, the mayor of Fair Haven.

Come on, dad: this is at least the third time Matthew’s gotten it.

Also nailing it: Fred Blumberg, Jackie Patterson and Alicia Woods. Thanks to them, and to Mark Molzon, J.C. Kelly and Manny Carabel, for writing in.

How about this week’s image — any guesses? If so, send us an email, please.
