Like fellow Red Banker and Ledger Live host Brian Donohue, whose commentary we posted yesterday, Day attended the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium press conference at Sandy Hook at which the winning beaches were identified.
But realizing that the majority of the winning beaches were too far away for his travel budget, Day decided to get the inside scoop on where he could find the most local sand for his tan this summer.
Coastal researcher and sand expert Dr. Stewart Farrell was more than happy to provide an answer: the beach they were standing on.
