IN oRBit: GETTING JAZZED & FUNNY
In today’s edition of Red Bank oRBit, we give our regards to Broad Street, where jazzbo professor Joe Muccioli has moved his Summer Jazz Café series to the comfy-cozy confines of Bob Guido’s Rivers Edge Café. We’ll give you the rundown on what to expect there in the weeks to come (including the “SamBop” stylings of Claudio Roditi this weekend), with our patented insight and savvy musings
Also today, we revisit the folks at ReVision Theatre Company in Asbury Park. The city-based professional stage troupe is getting ready to present its annual benefit show at the Paramount this weekend and this one-shot production of Funny Girl promises to be a doozy, with a male actor in the Streisand part, a supporting cast of Broadway veterans and the inimitable Lainie Kazan (pictured) as special guest star.
As always, it’s stuff you’ll find only in the way-out precincts of Red Bank oRBit.
