A Red Bank man has been arrested and charged with conducting a spree of out-of-town burglaries as far away as Millburn, the Asbury Park Press reports.
Thirty-year-old Miguel Dela Carrera was arrested by Millburn cops at his Linden Place home last week, assisted by police from Red Bank and surrounding towns, though no burglaries in the borough have been linked to him.
According to the Press, police say Dela Carrera drove to Little Silver, Tinton Falls and elsewhere to commit his alleged crimes.
From the article:
But when he tried to break into a house in Millburn in Essex County, a housekeeper saw him and was able to provide police with the license plate number of the car he was driving, police say.
Millburn police came to Red Bank last week and arrested Dela Carrera, 30, who is now being held in lieu of bail set at $195,000.
Detectives in Little Silver, Fair Haven, Tinton Falls, Eatontown and Ocean Township have also filed charges against him.
The Press account gives locations and dates for each of the break-ins police say Dela Carrera committed.
