Lots of wind, some rain and possibly some boomers will roll through our area today, the National Weather Service forecasts.

Gusts could get up to 48 miles an hour, the agency says.
Here’s the outloook:

Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11am, then a chance of showers between 11am and 2pm. High near 69. Windy, with a west wind 17 to 20 mph increasing to between 27 and 30 mph. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. Windy, with a west wind between 20 and 26 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind between 13 and 15 mph.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of rain after 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. West wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: A slight chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. South wind between 5 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Columbus Day: A chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 59. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59.
