No, print is not dead it’s just that, in the hands of paper sculptor Riccardo Berlingeri, your daily newspaper is morphing into ever more fascinating shapes, such as the “Planet” pictured here. It’s just one of the amazing newsprint-and-Elmer’s-glue creations that the artist is featuring in the Middletown Library‘s gallery this month and the exhibit is just one of the art happenings (including the latest at McKay Imaging Gallery) that we’ll be spotlighting in today’s edition of Red Bank oRBit.
Art happens, and, more often as not, we’re there to process and submit it for your approval, provided somebody thought to put out some wine and cheese. And with all the noteworthy art-oriented events taking place in and around our orbit in the days to come, we’re reserving plenty of room for the merlot and muenster, the cabarnet and camembert, the Viogniet and Velveeta, even.
It’s all there, with more to come this weekend in the realm of music, theater, books and more. All this, plus the latest gleanings from The Orb listings database, only on the walls of Red Bank oRBit.
