By a wide margin, Fair Haven voters went straight down the Republican column when casting their votes Tuesday.
They maintained the all-GOP, all-male council with the election of incumbent Ben Lucarelli to his first full term and Robert Marchese to his first term. According to figures supplied by borough clerk Allyson Cinquegrana, Lucarelli pulled in 1,366 votes and Marchese, 1,308, versus the 1,014 and 990 garnered by Democrats Matthew Cohen and Margo Tikijian, respectively.
Borough voters also leaned heavily toward the Republicans in the governor’s race, the 12-district Assembly contest and the Monmouth County Freeholders.
