In the closest council race in recent memory, incumbent Red Bank Democrats Mike DuPont and Art Murphy have won re-election to the borough council.
Republican political newcomers Kim Senekeleski and Rob Lombardi have conceded.
The two camps had different sets of preliminary vote tallies. The Democrats’ figures showed DuPont outpolling Senkeleski by 21 votes, 1,400 to 1,379, and Murphy topping Senkeleski by just eight votes, with a 1,387 total. Lombardi pulled in 1,301 votes, according to the Dems’ figures.
Republican numbers showed Senkeleski trailing Murphy by seven votes and Lombardi 85 votes behind.
