Granted, we’re still in the drab foothills of the midweek hump, but over at our satellite site Red Bank oRBit we’re already looking ahead to a Thursday that’s a must for fans of powerful prose, spoken word, standup comedy and other figures of speech.
In fact, it’s Figures of Speech that form the featured exhibit at the Monmouth County Arts Councils 2010 Teen Arts Festival, going on Thursday (and Friday) at Brookdale Community College and we’ll “Keep An Eye Out” (to use one such figure of speech, as depicted at right) with a preview in our pixelated pages.
There’s way more wordpower in store for Thursday, including the authors of Three Brown Eyed Girls over at the Red Bank Public Library; Asbury Park wordsmith TIGGA sharing his Photographic Memory at The Showroom; the return of Emmy winning comedienne Judy Gold, and a visit to Monmouth University by bestselling mystery writer Harlan Coben with whom we’ll have a full interrogation tomorrow, ONLY in Red Bank oRBit.
