BLOTTER: WEST SIDE MUGGINGS REPORTED

Shoplifting occurring on 6-11-10 at W. Front Street-Antiques. Employee observed a male subject force open a glass case and steal pieces of expensive antique jewelry. When confronted the unidentified subject fled the store. Stolen from case were gold chains, rings, one with diamond other with amethyst, pendant with diamonds, ladies gold Omega watch with diamonds and earrings. Ptl. Michael Campanella. Ptl. John Camarca.

Criminal Mischief occurring on 6-13-10 at West Front St. parking lot. Victim reported that unknown subject(s) scratched his parked vehicle several items on the passenger side door and corner panels. Ptl. David Hicks.

Auto Theft occurring on 6-13-10 at Carmen Place. Victim reported that her pocketbook containing cash and car keys were stolen from residence by male subject known only to her as “Jab”. Car was stolen and described as 2004 White Dodge Status. Later that day the Sheriff’s Dept. recovered the vehicle abandoned in Newark, NJ. Ptl. Michael Campanella.

Robbery occurring on West Westside Ave. on 6-14-10 at approximately 0126 hrs. Victim reported that three black unknown males approx. 16 to 18 years old approached him while he was walking his bike on the sidewalk. One subject punched the victim in the head knocking him to the ground. Subjects proceeded to take victim’s wallet containing cash and a Sprint cell phone then fleeing the area. Ptl. Criminal Mischief occurring at Bridge Ave. between 6-11-10 and 6-14-10. Report of door handle to rear door was damaged by unknown person(s). Sgt. Joseph Milko.

Burglary occurring at Chestnut St. residence on 6-14-10. Victim reported that unknown person(s) gained entrance into residence by removing glass panel from rear door. Taken was change from five-gallon water jug, between $2,000.00 and $3,000.00 in change. Ptl. Michael Zadlock.

Theft occurring between 6-13-10 and 6-15-10 at W. Westside Ave. residence. Owner of the residence reported that unknown person(s) stole a new central air-conditioning unit from the back yard. The unit had not yet been installed because the house was under repairs. Ptl. Matthew Ehrenreich.

Robbery occurring on Shrewsbury Ave. between East Sunset and East Westside on 6-17-10 at approximately 0220 hrs. Victim reported that while walking he was struck in the head from behind with a baseball bat by a black male subject who was accompanied by another black male. Stolen was a skateboard, two large beach style tote bags containing clothing, sheets, prescription medicine and paperwork. Ptl. James DePonte.

Burglary occurring on 6-17-10 between hours of 0830 and 1703 at Silverwhite Avenue residence. Victim reported that upon arriving home she heard an alarm beeping and noticed the alarm had been torn off of the wall. Entry had been gained by unknown person(s) who stole the following items: Purse containing cash, checkbooks and prescription medicine, jewelry consisting of rings, watch, bracelet, diamond engagement ring, 2 ruby rings, pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings. Theft occurring at Oakland St. on 6-17-10. Victims reported that unknown subject(s) had entered resident and stolen was cash, jewelry, laptop, iPod and pair of DB shoes. Ptl. George Travostino.

OTHER ARRESTS:
Cesar Jimenez-Garcia, age 20 male of Red Bank was arrested on 6-16-10 in the area of Herbert St. for DWI by Sgt. Michael Furlong.

Brian Cunningham, age 34 male of Hazlet was arrested on 6-15-10 in the area of Reckless Place for DWI and Criminal Mischief by Ptl Ashon Lovick.

A juvenile male age 15 of Long Branch was arrested on 6-14-10 in Long Branch for Robbery and Aggravated Assault which occurred in Red Bank by Inv. Wendy Samis.

A juvenile female age 14 of Long Branch was arrested on 6-14-10 in the area of S. Bridge Ave. for Disorderly Conduct by Ptl. Patrick Kennedy.

Serge Comito, age 44 male of Red Bank was arrested on 6-14-10 in the area of Monmouth St. for Disorderly Conduct by Ptl. David Smith. [UPDATE, November 9, 2011: this case was dismissed by Municipal Court Judge William Himelman on July 29, 2010.]

Loray Rock female age 49 of Red Bank was arrested on 6-11-10 in the area of Leighton Ave. for Poss. of CDS, Heroin and Poss of Hypodermic Syringe by Det. Robert Clayton.

Jahmiel Rock, male age 19 of Red Bank was arrested on 6-11-10 in the area of Leighton Ave., for Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Poss. of CDS, Marijuana under 50 grams, Resisting Arrest, Poss of CDS w/I to Dist, Poss. of CDS w/I 500 ft of Park or Pub. Housing, Poss. of Hypodermic Syringe by Det. Robert Clayton.

A male juvenile age 17 of Red Bank was arrested on 6-11-10 in the area of Leighton Ave. for Resisting Arrest and Aggravated Assault on Police Officer by Ptl. Robert Campanella.
