Closing time turned harrowing at a Red Bank bar when an angry patron tried to run over an employee with his pickup truck early Saturday morning, according to police.

Evan Lloyd, 23, of Little Silver, crashed his vehicle through safety gates surrounding the yard of Red Rock Tap + Grill in an attempt to mow down a bar worker, Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen.

RED BANK: MAN CHARGED IN CHILD ASSAULT

A Red Bank man was arrested last month on charges arising from an alleged aggravated sexual assault on a child in early 2017, police said.

Travis Lane, 59, of South Pearl Street, was arrested February 20, the same day police were made aware of the allegations, Chief Darren McConnell told redbankgreen.

SHREWSBURY: COP CHARGED, REPORT SAYS

A Shrewsbury police officer is facing charges of assault and harassment following two alleged incidents last month, according to a report by NJ.com.

The news site of the Star-Ledger cites a complaint that alleges Patrolman Ryan Cullinane, 27, showed up unwanted at the home of an unidentified woman two days in a row, and punched an unidentified man in the face in one encounter.
