Last week’s Where must have been something of a stumper.
Only three readers wrote in, and one of them misidentified the location.
Our picture showed a detail from an entryway to the office building at 365 Broad Street, opposite the Red Bank Super Foodtown.
As usual, local historian Randall Gabrielan has some interesting background on the structure, writing in one of his pictorial history books that it was built by the Red Bank Elks and sold in 1945 to Progressive Life Insurance Co., which used it as its headquarters for many years.
Thanks to Ellen Clayton, the Colmorgen Kids and Jenn Woods for writing in.
If you know the location of this weeks Where, drop a note here, please, and be sure to put Where Have I Seen This? in the subject line. Thanks.
